Publications For Community Associations Featured in New Bookstore Catalog

4/6/2001  -  Alexandria, VA

Community Associations Press, the publishing division of Community Associations Institute (CAI), has released its 2001 Bookstore catalog, highlighting its diverse line of community-associations publications and products. In addition to introducing the twelve new publications added to CAI's current offerings, the catalog features a number of light-hearted vignettes that highlight the usefulness of CAI publications.

"The 2001 catalog is not only a great resource, it's also fun to read," stated Barbara Byrd Keenan, President of CAI. "It's a tremendous showcase for our new publishing division—Community Associations Press—and the nation's only single-source collection of publications and products devoted exclusively to meeting the needs of community associations."

The new catalog includes Community Associations Press's nearly 100 titles—including books, manuals, video and audio tapes, brochures, workbooks, proceedings, home study courses, magazines and newsletters—as well as fun items such as coffee mugs and golf shirts.

Among the new publications featured in this year's catalog are practical resources ranging from "The Art of Successful Meetings," to "Before Disaster Strikes: How to Develop an Emergency Procedures Manual," to "Communications for Community Associations."

According to Debra Lewin, CAI's Director of Publications, "It's likely that one of this year's runaway best sellers will be the new 'Community Association Manager Compensation and Salary Survey.' People always want to know if they are earning as much as their colleagues, and how their salary and benefits compare to others in their region and around the country. This report reveals that critical information."

Community Associations Press publishes a number of very popular books and brochures that some community associations purchase in quantity to distribute to their members. New in the 2001 catalog are bulk discounts on these titles. CAI members receive 40% off the retail price, but bulk discounts provide an additional 30% off when buyers purchase 100 copies or more of selected titles.

The 2001 Bookstore catalog groups titles conveniently in topic areas such as insurance, community building, trends and research, meetings, finances, enforcement issues, contracting, governance, and others.
