Directory of Credentialed Managers Now Available Online

6/7/2000  -  Alexandria, VA

The Community Associations Institute (CAI) and the National Board for Certification for Community Association Mangers (NBC-CAM) are pleased to announce the launch of a new, comprehensive directory of credentialed community association managers. The searchable database is available on both CAI and NBC-CAM's Web sites.

In November, NBC-CAM launched its new Web site, with a feature that allows visitors to search—by last name, company name or state/province—for industry professionals who have obtained the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) certification. In response to the popularity of the CMCA online directory, CAI was able to expedite its plans to provide a similar online directory for holders of its professional designations.

Now, through a searchable database featured on both Web sites, users can search for the CMCA designation, as well as Association Management Specialists (AMS), Professional Community Association Managers (PCAM), Accredited Association Management Companies (AAMC), and Reserve Specialists (RS). Each of the designations can be searched by an individuals last name, except for the AAMC, which is searchable by company name. As well, individuals who have obtained their credentials can go online and submit changes to their listing. In addition, users can search by designation or state or province.

To access these databases, simply visit CAI's Web site at www.caionline.org or the NBC-CAM Web site at www.nbccam.org, and click on the link for the Directory of Credentialed Managers. Or, you may call CAI Central at (703) 548-8600 with questions.

The Community Associations Institute is a nonprofit association created in 1973 to educate and represent the nation's 205,000 community associations—condominium associations, homeowner associations and cooperatives. CAI members include homeowners, associations and related professionals and service providers. The National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM) was established in 1995 by the Community Associations Institute to ensure that managers have the appropriate skills to effectively manage community associations.
