CAI Web Site Gets the Gold

2/11/1998  -  Alexandria, VA

The Community Associations Institute's site on the World Wide Web, http://www.caionline.org, was named a World-Class Web Site by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) in January. CAI's site also received the highest rating from the Real Estate Library, which named CAI Online a "PURE GOLD" site in February.

Designed to educate members and the public about the community association industry, CAI Online offers the most extensive resources on the Web for condominium, cooperative and homeowners' associations and the professionals who serve them. Free to the public, the site features facts and figures, bulletin boards, a vast searchable research library of CAI publications, a professional directory, a job bank, legislative and regulatory updates and information on CAI educational opportunities for professionals and homeowners. Visitors will also find links to CAI chapters around the country, news sources, state and federal legislative offices and the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers Web site. CAI members can access the association's intranet through the Web site as well.

CAI's Web site was among 250 sites selected for the ASAE award from 1,200 association entrants and is featured in a handbook, World-Class Web Sites, published by the ASAE Foundation. ASAE is the world's leading membership organization for the nonprofit association management profession.

The Real Estate Library recognizes Web sites displaying outstanding design, interactivity and content with the "PURE GOLD" rating. The Real Estate Library provides essential resources for real estate professionals, buyers, sellers, tax professionals, and those seeking information on the Internet with more than 15,000 active links and 100,000 current, categorized resources.

The Community Associations Institute is a nonprofit association created in 1973 to educate and represent the nation's 150,000 community associations—condominium associations, homeowner associations and cooperatives. CAI members include homeowners, associations and the professionals who provide products and services to them.
