The Community Associations Institute (CAI) is pleased to announce it recently acknowledged the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) as an approved provider of continuing education for individuals with CAI Community Association Managers designations. This action was taken by CAI's Managers Designations Committee and Executive Committee at CAI's Fall National Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
The mission of CMAA is to advance the profession of club management by fulfilling the educational and related needs of its members by providing state-of-the-art educational programs, representing the members to allied associations, club members and a broader public, and providing unique information and resources that increase member performance and career potential. CMAA has more than 30 Allied Associations that grant continuing education credits for members participating in their education programs. In May of this year, CMAA named CAI as an Allied Association.
"CAI was very pleased to be named an Allied Association this past May, and we sincerely agree that our respective organizations have similar missions and visions—of providing education and certification to our members, and moving our industries forward by providing the most timely and pertinent resources available," said CAI President Barbara Byrd Keenan, CAE.
The Community Associations Institute is a nonprofit association created in 1973 to educate and represent the nation's 205,000 community associations—condominium associations, homeowner associations and cooperatives. CAI members include homeowners, associations and related professionals and service providers.
