The Community Associations Institute recently named Carol Ann Faber vice president of Marketing and Donna Reichle vice president of Communications as part of a restructuring of the previous department of Communications and Marketing.
"As CAI's membership topped 17,000 and publication offerings approached 100 titles, we recognized a need to increase specialization and maximize growth opportunities in the key areas of marketing and communications," said Barbara Byrd Keenan CAE, president of CAI. "This restructuring will allow us to attain the key goals of raising CAI's public profile, reaching more community association homeowners and professionals and offering them the vital tools they need to make associations more competent, effective and harmonious."
Faber, who joined CAI as director of Marketing in 1998, now oversees CAI's membership, marketing, advertising and art direction activities. Faber has 13 years of experience in marketing, including assignments at the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Immigration Lawyers Association and a division of Litton Industries.
Reichle, director of Media and Public Relations since 1997, now oversees publications (including new book development, consumer and professional publications and periodicals), public relations, media relations, and CAI's web site. Reichle has ten years of experience in communications, including stints at the National Automobile Dealers Association and Fiat USA Inc.'s North American headquarters.
The Community Associations Institute is a nonprofit association created in 1973 to educate and represent the nation's 205,000 community associations—condominium associations, homeowner associations and cooperatives. CAI members include homeowners, associations and related professionals and service providers.
