Community Associations Institute (CAI) Distributes 1,000 Solar Eclipse Viewing Glasses to Hundreds of U.S. Homeowner and Condominium Association Residents
HOA communities gather to celebrate the total solar eclipse, Aug. 21

The NASA-approved viewing glasses were sent to CAI members of large-scale communities, condominiums, and co-operatives living in Oregon, Missouri, Kansas, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Georgia.

Many of these members are actively making plans to host thousands of local eclipse-seekers to their communities.

On Aug. 21, North America will experience a solar eclipse. The centerline of the eclipse is projected to stretch from Lincoln Beach, Ore., to Charleston, S.C. Eclipse-seekers outside the centerline will see a partial solar eclipse where the moon covers part of the sun's disk.

For nearly 45 years, CAI—an international membership organization dedicated to building better communities—has educated and trained community association managers and the homeowners who volunteer on their community association boards. Today, more than 69 million Americans live in HOAs and other planned communities, making these neighborhoods ideal gathering spots for the total solar eclipse viewing experience.
