This Council represents management company CEOs and all other community association managers.
Make-Up
The Community Association Managers Council consists of twelve (12) members including:
- At least four (4) Management Company CEOs
- At least two (2) Large-Scale Managers
- At least four (4) Managers (who are not Management Company CEOs or Large-Scale Managers)
- Two (2) At-Large positions
Roles
Relative to the Board of Trustees
- Give Input on Policy Matters to CAI's Board of Trustees
- Elect four members of the Community Association Managers Council to serve on the Board of Trustees
- Appoint one Manager to serve on the Nominating Committee to fill open at-large positions on the Board of Trustees
- Appoint three Managers to serve on the Government and Public Affairs Committee
Relative to CAI Staff
- Make recommendations on education curriculum
- Make recommendations on designations
- Make recommendations on best practices
- Provide other input and make recommendations as requested by CEO and staff
Autonomous
Identify what is of value to the Manager members.
Terms
- Council members shall serve 2-year terms.
- In general, a Council member may not serve more than 6 years.
Election of Members
Each year, management company CEOs and all other community association managers will have the opportunity to nominate themselves for a position on the Community Association Managers Council. Management company CEOs and all other managers will then vote to elect members to the Council via an online election.
